CLIMATE ACTION MENSTON (CAM)

In September, we heard from the Sustainability Project Officer for Bradford Council: part of the team who are working on  the Climate Action plan for the district and aiming to be net zero by 2038.  It was interesting to hear that her role is funded by the Clean Air Zone in Bradford and that air quality has improved markedly since the zone was introduced. The areas they will be focussing on are land and nature; a sustainable economy; warm and comfortable buildings; travel and transport; and biodiversity.

Our working group for  Travel and Transport issues,continues to meet regularly and is working with Otley 2030 and Climate Action Ilkley on how we can create an active travel plan for the Wharfe Valley.
