The churchyard is now closed for burials and is maintained by the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.

We have a memorial garden which has open plots for the burial of ashes of those whose funerals took place at St John's. To find out more click here. 

A small team of dedicated gardeners have developed a series of gardens to enhance the beauty of the churchyard. There are several distinct areas of planting which include a conservation area planted with a variety of wild flowers and bulbs. St John's is delighted to play its part in the Menston in Bloom project which enhances the village.

A leaflet giving details of much of the planting is freely available from the welcome area at the back of church.
