The Parish Room at St John's is available for hire and is a great space for by a wide range of groups from toddlers to meetings and workshops, and is popular for children's parties, celebration lunches, wedding receptions, funeral teas, youth events, games afternoons, fitness classes and so much more! You could hire for a one-off event or seek a regular hire agreement. If you have any enquires please contact us!
We are on a hill so access to the Parish Room involves short flights of steps or a step-free sloping path.
The Parish Room has been recently refurbished, we hope you enjoy this space.
Facilities
The room is 10m x 9m (approx 30 feet x 27 feet), has full central heating and can comfortably seat 60 people at tables. It can be divided into two smaller rooms if required. The toilets have level access and one is fully adapted for use by people with disabilities.
It has a well-equipped kitchen, with double sink, gas cooker with double oven, hot water boiler and kettles, fridge, dishwasher, wine glasses, crockery and cutlery. There is no additional charge for use of the kitchen.
Safeguarding Policy
Menston Parish Church is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of a children, young people and vulnerable adults. When hiring the Parish Room, you must ensure that St John's Safeguarding policy is adhered to. You will be provided with a Safeguarding Hire agreement and a copy of our policy statement, which must be signed and agreed upon prior to hire. All of our safeguarding policies and statements can be found below, along with those of the Church of England.
