Closure of St John's - A statement from Revd Steve Proudlove & Revd Andrew Howorth

Dear All

We are sorry to announce that all public worship at St John’s Parish Church, Menston, must now be stopped until further notice because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

This is sad news for those who attend regularly and for all in our parish who may benefit from this at the moment. However, it is the act of love for our neighbours that compels us to cease meeting. This love will now focus itself on helping those who are in isolation, those who are fearful and those who work for the NHS and other agencies involved in dealing with this crisis.

During this unprecedented period, the church remains committed to the village and to seeking to help care for others. This may be done in ways which we are not used to, but we will try to find ways to care for Menston through the isolation.

Please check our website and Facebook for details of new developments, and please contact the vicar if you need to do so (vicar@stjohnmenston.org.uk).

Yours,

Revd Steve Proudlove and Revd Andrew Howorth
