Music

St John's has a small robed choir who lead the worship at the 10am Sunday service. The choir is augmented at major festivals by The St John's Singers who also lead the singing on the fourth Sunday of the month. If you have a love of singing new members are most welcome.

The 2-manual organ is a fine example of the work I W Binns and was restored in 2008.

The church has an excellent accoustic and is often used for concerts ranging from organ and oboe recitals, Aireborough Gilbert and Sullivan Society, local choirs to the splendid evenings of song given by well known operatic artists.

A concert is being planned for Saturday 22 June to coincide with the Flower Festival. Details nearer the time.
