Open the Book

St John's has a dedicated team of amateur Thespians who enjoy communicating Bible stories to the children of Menston Primary School most Wednesday mornings during term-time. Using material from The Lion Storyteller Bible, written by Bob Hartman, they bring the Bible alive to audiences of 60-90 children and their teachers - and have a great deal of fun! If you have a yearning to help with this project you would be most welcome. The team can be contacted via the Parish Office. 

Open the Book material is also used sometimes in St John's services
and is very adaptable.

Christmas and Easter also offer opportunities to tell the story to children's groups in the village.
