St John's branch meets twice monthly in the Parish Room at 2.15pm on the 1st Tuesday and 7.45pm on the 3rd Tuesday. 'We have a speaker on a mixture of serious and light-hearted topics and we also discuss matters of social concern. New members are always welcome.' Check What's On for details of coming meetings.
What is the Mothers' Union? With 4 million members working in 83 countries, the Mothers' Union is passionate about caring for families all around the world. Members are not all mothers, or even all women. Single, married, parents, grandparents, or young adults just beginning to express their social conscience. For all 4 million members what Mothers' Union provides is a network through which they can serve Christ in their own community - through prayer, financial support and actively working at the grassroots level in programmes that meet local needs. They lobby local and national governments on issues affecting family life and campaign to challenge legislation that neglects the vulnerable and marginalised. Objectives:
